Beware of scams implying association or falsely implying continuing association with us.
The Green Economics Institute has been made aware of various correspondences, and Unauthorized Certificates bearing its name ( s) and logo – being offered and circulated via e-mail, from Internet web sites, text messages and via regular mail or facsimile, falsely stating that they are issued by, or in association with the Green Economics Institute and/or its officials. These scams, which may seek to obtain money for services, from the recipients of such correspondence, are identity theft and we at The Green Economics Institute never ever offer our certificates in this way.
The relevant criminal authorities are already working with us to help us with this matter in order to try to protect us, students and their parents against any criminal activity whether in the UK or in any other country.
We are also aware that ;Certain interviews may have taken place without our knowledge or agreement ‘ purportedly for internships’ with us. These are also not authorised either in anyway and no money must be handed over for this. Please email us directly if this has happened to you please email- info@geiacademy.org .
The Green Economics Institute wishes to warn the public at large about these fraudulent activities being perpetrated purportedly in the name of the Organisation, and/or its officials, through different fraud schemes.
- The Green Economics does not ever put its certificates on the web nor does it ever offer its certificates blank by email to anyone. Should you have seen such a certificate, it is certainly unauthorized and therefore part of a scam and you should not under any circumstances pay money for it -nor pay anyone else money for such unauthorised certificates. Our certificates are only ever offered on paper and given in person in every case.
- Should you see our certificates being offered blank by email or on any website please report it to the authorities, as this is an identify theft from us.
- We are also not at this moment undertaking any internships either- However, we are aware that certain people may have obtained money for our ‘internships’ or ‘recommendations from Profs’ -even though they had nor do have no contract in place for such an offering.
- Should you be asked for such money to pay for such an internship by any third party, please do not pay for it and do not under any circumstances pay even more to any third party for any more services. Please alert us and we will pass the information on to the authorities.
- If you have already paid for such an internship allegedly coming from us- and have not received it- this is a scam as we have not provided and are not be providing any internships in 2019.Please let us know and we will alert the relevant authorities.
- If you do wish to study with us please apply in the normal way, covering letter, email and cv explaining what you require but directly to us via info@geiacademy.org. Do not ask us to endorse you without a serious course of work and writing as we never ever do that under any circumstances and neither should anyone else.
- We do however now offer direct work experience and writing coaching programmes but directly not through a third party and no more schemes are happening in 2019.
- The Green Economics Institute does not offer emailed prizes, awards, funds, certificates, automated teller machine (ATM) cards, compensation for Internet fraud, or scholarships, or conduct lotteries.
- Nor do we ever help people get into any University without the candidate proving unequivocably that they have done the pre requisite work and that our academic team adjudicates that have reached the required standard in all respects. This usually involves a large amount of high quality writing, analysis and speaking over a long period of time under supervision of our specialists. Students may apply directly to us to see if they might be suitable for this small specialised programme in the normal way by applying directly to us ( not via any third party and in all cases with a cv and interview all conducted directly by us and not through any third party). Furthermore we always in every instance tell the truth, which means if someone is not suitable for further study we will never, ever endorse them under any circumstances.
- We also understand that interviews may have been conducted with out our knowledge or permission or involvement and these are not genuine and no money must be handed over to any third party for this activity.
- Our word is final and it is not often given but we are happy to give casual advise non binding advise on a one off basis.
The Green Economics Institute strongly recommends that the recipients of solicitations, such as those described above exercise extreme caution in respect of such solicitations. Financial loss and identity theft could result from the transfer of money or personal information to those issuing such fraudulent correspondence. Victims of such scams may also report them to their local law enforcement authorities for appropriate action.
